Theistic Santanism & La Voisin

Catherine Monvoisin, better known as “La Voisin” is a prominent figure in the realm of Theistic Satanism. She played a key role in the Affair of the Poisons (affaire des poisons) in which an epidemic of poisonings swept France during the rule of King Louis XIV. It was discovered that the poisons being used in the murders were being sold to the public by practitioners of witchcraft and the dark arts. Among those arrested and tried were fortune tellers and alchemists who were charged with creating the poisons. It was typical for these poison vendors to give up lists of their clientele in their efforts to save themselves.

La Voisin did exactly that when she was examined, and her clientele included many high ranking personages, including the mistress of King Louis XIV. La Voisin was known to have performed satanic rituals such as the widely practiced black mass. She also commonly practiced witchcraft, chiromancy, and the creation of various lethal and aphrodisiac concoctions formed by the fusion of macabre ingredients. She was also a known adulteress who was given to sleeping around on her husband, Mr. Monvoisin.

She has a resume that would impress any aspiring Satanist; including the practice of dark rituals, murder, sexual promiscuity, witchcraft, and a sturdy base of high profile clients. She is an excellent female role model who exemplifies the dark nature of this system of religion. The simple fact that she is a woman is an important element of her allure. Men have traditionally been the more prominent figures of Theistic Satanism, and La Voisin inhabits a unique position in the pantheon of highly regarded Satanists. Ultimately she was publicly executed by being burned alive. Her execution was the final act of martyrdom that earned her the veneration of future generations of Satanists.
